Patronal Festival Service on Sunday 6th September at 10:00
We are delighted to invite you to St Mary’s Patronal Festival Service on Sunday 6th September at 10:00.
A Patronal Service is the special service each year when a church celebrates its patron saint. We keep our Patronal Festival on the Sunday closest to 8th September, the traditional feast of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is a day to give thanks for Mary’s courage, faith and trust in God, and to celebrate the life of the church that bears her name.
It is also a wonderful occasion to gather as a whole church family. Whether you come every week, have worshipped with us in the past, joined us for a baptism, wedding, funeral, concert, community event, or have simply felt connected to St Mary’s in some way, you would be very warmly welcome.
Our Patronal Festival reminds us that St Mary’s is more than a beautiful building. It is a place of prayer, belonging, memory and hope; a church held together by faith and guided by love.
We would love you to come and celebrate with us.
