At St Mary's we believe that our Church is here to serve the whole community and especially to mark the life events which frame our lives.

Baptism/Christening

St Mary's has an open policy on baptism and is pleased to baptise children and adults who live in the Parish.

Admission of Children to Holy Communion prior to confirmation

Children can receive communion before they are confirmed at St Mary's, after a short introduction.

Confirmation

Confirmation represents a further step into the Christian faith. Those promises which were made on our behalf at our baptism, or which we made ourselves if we were older when baptised, are made once more during the confirmation service.

Wedding

We would be delighted to talk to you about marrying at St Mary's. Thanks to a new law it is now much easier to be married in the church of your choice. We would be delighted to talk to you about marrying in our beautiful ancient church.

Funeral

At funerals we give thanks for the life of a loved one and we commit them into God's care.

Members of St Mary's ministry team are pleased to lead a funeral service for anyone who lives in the parish. It doesn't matter if your loved one did not go to church. We believe in a loving God and our church at St Mary's extends that love to all.
